My boyfriend, his dad and I went to Chef Ae's based on a family member's recommendation and we were NOT disappointed!! I got the tuna melt and a side of brussel sprouts and they we delicious! The sandwich was gone in under two minutes, it was that good. There was only one lovely lady running the cash register and the majority of food and she was very attentive. Next time I go back, I hope to try to yummy looking desserts! We didn't have time this day.
I had a lovely experience for a late lunch @ Chef Ae's. Had the spicy chicken banh mi special and it was so delicious... Great little spot for burgers and sandwiches. Highly recommend.🤩
Was new in town and looking for good local eats. Visited here with my husband and received a really lovely welcome into the establishment. Vast array of menu choices to suit most palates and diet restrictions, and a good price for a sit down dinner. My husband ordered the Bistro Burger, and I ordered Thai green curry with tofu. He said it was probably the best burger he’s had in YEARS! (Pretty sure this dude eats burgers at least twice a week, so this was astoundingly Nobel peace prize compliment for burgers) My curry was perfect too. In all - perfect service, perfect portions, perfect price. We’ll be bringing every friend and family member who ever visits straight to Chef Ae’s <3
Chef Ae’s is on a completely different level. Honestly, if this restaurant were located in a bigger market like Greenville or Charleston, it would be winning national recognition. It is crazy how good the food is here. I had the tuna sandwich (odd choice, I know,) and it was excellent—definitely not your standard cafe fare. The quality and flavor they are putting out is impressive. Dessert was strawberry cake, and it was mind-blowing. Spartanburg is lucky to have a spot of this caliber. Highly recommend.
Small place with charm, we arrived with several menu options listed online, in mind. However, there were several meals that they no longer served. (I was saddened upon this news when I found out the spicy roasted beet salad was one of them) We ordered the spicy beef salad. The dressing is rich with spice and flavor, and the steak is tender and delicious! The Thai pork ribs were sticky and sweet with incredible mashed potatoes! They should sell them in bucket sizes to go! We also ordered the Hong Kong burger, and the quail fried egg (wrapped in wonton) was amazing! The flavors are very present, the plating is pretty and the service was sweet! I am not sure if the plastic forks and knives are fitting to the beautiful plating, but that's the only downside I experienced. Overall, I will be eating here again, and I would HIGHLY recommend this place for experienced palettes!

My husband, our family, and I recently went to eat at Chef AE’s, and the experience was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. The owner went above and beyond to accommodate my husband, who has ALS and cannot eat hard foods. She kindly put out a ramp for him so he could comfortably get inside, and her compassion and customer service truly touched our hearts. Not only was the food delicious, but she also specially prepared my husband’s meal so soft that he was able to drink it through a straw. That level of care and kindness is something you don’t find everywhere. Even the Thai sweet tea was amazing — absolutely delicious — and all of our food was outstanding. She was so thoughtful and caring, and even told me that anytime we need something special for my husband, I can call her and she would gladly help, even offering delivery or pickup options. That kind of service means so much to families like ours. The restaurant itself is not very big, but it is comfortable, convenient, safe, and welcoming. When you experience customer service like this, you want to keep coming back again and again. I also told her that I would love to bring the ladies from our church there sometime because I know we would all have a wonderful time together. I highly recommend Chef AE’s to anyone looking for great food, kindness, and a warm atmosphere for you and your family. You will truly be blessed by the experience
The chocolate cake—-delicious!! And Onion rings so thick. We had spicy pork belly sandwich and spicy Panang pork curry sandwich. All was fresh and a delight for your tastebuds. Love the cilantro on top with pickled carrots.
RUN, DO NOT WALK TO TRY THIS AMAZING ESTABLISHMENT!!! Chef Ae's is by far my favorite place to eat in Spartanburg! I have not found anything I don't like! I love the Thai Isan Bahn Mi, but the pork belly bahn mi will blow your socks off!!!! Burger lovers, that kimchi burger is where it is at!! Salad friends-get on that spicy beef salad or the chicken salad--to die for! Pork sandwich is great! I absolutely love the flavor combinations! Chef is so talented and serves up banging cuisine!
I asked a coworker awhile back about where he goes for a really good burger and he mentioned this place. I happened to be close by so I figured I would stop here for a quick lunch. I ordered the bistro burger and it was so delicious. I really wanted to order another one for dinner but I'll just treat myself and come back! Sweet potato fries were good too. The sweet tea was perfect! Not too sweet either!
